if your dry, frizzy hair is anything like mine then you need to get some high quality hair products. i tried the drug store brands too but they never worked. the only products i've ever found that work for me are salon brands like bumble & bumble, rene furterer, frederic fekkai, etc.
right now i use frederic fekkai moisturizing shampoo with shea butter and frederic fekkai apple cider clarifying shampoo. for conditioning i use rene furterer karite intense nourishing conditioning cream. both brands can be purchased at sephora and higher end salons.
if you do continue to straighten your hair, get a good straightener (chi, sedu, solia, etc.) and make sure to put protectant on your hair before blow drying & heat straightening.

I know exactly what you are going through!! I have found a great product for frizzy hair, it is Back to Basics Coconut/Mango shampoo and conditioners. This is the 1st that has tamed and moisturized my hair in 25 years of bleaching, coloring, straightning, everything else a person can do to the hair. Leaves it soft, smooth, not puffy, frizzy. I follow with skinny straight serum by Paul Mitchell and blow dry. I get lots of compliments on my hair since I have found these products, I have tried everything and anything! The Herbal Essences is not good for the hair according to my cosmotologist, you don't get the needed moisture.I forgot to mention, I had tried the Limited Edition of white truffle shampoo and cond. @ 125.00 a set, did not do the job. Frizz Ease,no. Pantene is a no-no according to the cosmotologist. Matrix did not have enough conditioning either.

Herbal Essences products are crap but they do smell good haha! Pantene Pro-V works for me but I don't straighten my hair, it's curly.
Maybe straightening your hair is causing the breakage that's making it dry and frizzy. You could go to a salon and get a deep conditioning treatment.
Also, check out some hot oil treatments like VO-5 Hot Oil Therapy and some thick conditioners like Aussie 3-Minute Miracle.
Do you use a leave-in? You shoudl if your hair is that dry and frizzy. Try Pantene or Infusium Leave In after you shower.
And don't wash your hair every day, that just makes it frizzier!!! Every other day max, but condition every time you shower, even if you don't wash it.
Good luck!!!

Aussy has a friz control creme....put this on your hair..it's a leave in conditioner....I noticed an immediate difference. Try not to dry your hair ...let it air dry and when it's just damp, you can use a dryer/brush to finish styling it. This will help straighten it a little too with a soft curl look and not dry it out like a lot of straightening irons!

Have you tried using a hair serum like Frizz-Ease? That in combination with a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo and conditioner may help your situation. Check out http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art1930.asp
This article gives some good advice and may help you decide which type of product is best for you.

Go to a health store like Holland and Barrett and find a shampoo WITHOUT sodium laryl sulphate.
Also, put hair oil in your hair once a week, leave it in overnight and wash it out the next morning.
You can also condition your hair once in a while with egg. Crack an egg in a bowl. Apply over hair, leave for fifteen minutes and wash out. Alternatively, use mayonnaise. Good luck.

I would recommend not using the straitener..i've realized they are REALLY badd for your hair..they give you split ends and DONT help the frizziness.
I use either Treseme shampoo and conditioner..or Panteen and i blow dry my hair. it straitens it without damaging it 'as much' as the straitener dose.
uhm. i'd say use the frizz control stuff. Aussie has one that i used while i was in the states. but you have to be carful with the stuff because if you put to much it looks like your hair is oily..:/
OR! what i also did before the frizz control came out..if you go to the store and to the hair section there should be some stuff called "sheen" something..and its for black peoples hair..if you spray that into your hair and blow dry it it makes it soft smooth and all that jazz! it worked for me! hope it works for you! :]

all that chemical's and straightening is what's causing it. use Dove shampoo and conditioner. and Dove anti-frizz... my hair used to be like that too, dull & frizzy. i haven't found any shampoo that could do it for over 20 yrs. with Dove it's just so soft & manageable now. i really like their anti-frizz too. it's not a "complex" mix of chemicals, it's so easy on your skin too (never had a breakout problem unlike in herbal essences); plus, it doesn't "weigh" down hair.
why don't you go for a rebond, so you don't have to style it all that often? grow your next inches of hair as healthy as you can.
