What is the best way to go from the Gatwick airport (UK) to Heathrow airport? I have to change planes and I have a rather lengthy layover (about seven hours) so there's plenty of time in between. I won't be flying through there until the end of May but I figured I ask for your input and make necessary preparations or arrangements ahead of time.
Thank you for your time.

Ok, there's only 1 realistic choice and that is to take the airport bus which connects the airports. I've provided the link below which gives details of how long the journey takes, cost, where to pick it up, etc.

There are trains which will take you into London from Gatwick, then you would need to change from Victoria to Paddington stations to get the Heathrow express, but that will cost more, be more stressful, take longer and you wouldn't see anything worthwhile anyway! So I'd bus it!!

Hope that helps.

The most direct way is National Express coach between the two airports. However, this will leave you with around 5 hours to kill at Heathrow.
Catch the Gatwick Express to Victoria. Leave your bags in the left luggage (around £5 per item) and spend some time around Westminster. Get something to eat then head back to Victoria about 3 1/4 hours before your flight. Catch the District Line underground to Hammersmith, do a cross platform change to the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow.
