Need additional information.

What time of year? How many days?

Florida and the Caribbean can be bargains in the Summer but you gamble with hurricanes. Same with resorts in the Carolina's or Georgia.

I would say Las Vegas.

Since it's your honeymoon I'd say you want to stay at a really nice place. Assuming your going to be in the hotel room a lot;) In Vegas the motel/hotel rooms are top notch for the $. We recently stayed at the MGM Signature Suites, cost $180/night and the room was killer. HUGE bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, flat screen TV, dual granite vanity/sinks - that was just the master bath. There was another bath w/shower off the kitchen. Gourmet kitchen was equipped with granite counter tops, sub-zero fridge/freezer flat top stove, microwave, dishwasher, top of the line dishes/glasswear etc.. Had two HD TVs, one in the living room another in the bedroom. This was a one bedroom single king bed. It was more like an expensive condo than a motel room.

The rooms at the Wynn are supposed to be like this too. The regular rooms at the MGM are pretty nice too, but not like the signature suites.

So - you could probably get the room for 10 days for $2K.

Then Vegas has all the night life, shows etc.. The Cirque shows (La Rev etc..) are fantastic. Prince is doing a show at the Rio and there is the Celine Dion show at Caesars (if your into that). Plan on most shows costing you $50-$100/seat. You can get discount tickets to most shows at various discount places throughout the strip. Don't get suckered into thinking you have to get tickets a month in advance.

There are some fabulous restaurants. Highly recommend Bobby Flays Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace and the Japanese place in the MGM. You could easily spend $100+/meal, you can also go ultra cheap with dining if that isn't important to you.

Then there are the bars - recommend spending an afternoon at the Carnival Carousel outside in front of Harrahs.

Flights into Vegas are pretty cheap, typically. You might want a rental car to explore, but nothing in Las Vegas is more than a $10 cab ride +tip away. There is a monorail that runs along the length of the strip that costs $9/couple to go one-way. You can also buy a weekly pass for the monorail. Point being the place is set up so tourists don't need a car.

Assuming your over 21 and into the party scene - Vegas would be it.

Second choice would be an all inclusive club in the Caribbean, such as Couples or Beaches or ?, but you might not be able to do it on your budget? Also, depending on when you go there, it could be hurricane season - just a thought.

Congratulations!

I would say China! It's so exotic, full of history and glorious ancient culture! Imagine you going back through time standing in the middle of the fabled Forbidden City - the heart of the ancient capital for over 800 years, or toast on the romantic Li River Cruise - an exquisite living canvas, or wandering along the Bund in the breeze of Shanghai night glittering cosmopolitan vibe...Isn't it a once-a-lifetime honeymoon you are dreaming about?

I can help you with the whole package, including meals, accommodation, and private guide with private car all through China at a very reasonable price. So you can have a stress-free honeymoon!

Vegas, baby!!!!!!!! You and your hubby can definitely spend a long weekend there for under $4000, what with all the $9 prime rib buffets and free cocktails. Besides, if you stay in a hotel on the Strip, you won't need to rent a car because you can walk everywhere!! It's the only place I can think of where you actually have a chance (a small one) of coming home with more money than you left with.

P.S. Vegas loves newlyweds, so lots of hotels offer special packages and freebies for just-married couples. My BF and I lie and say we're engaged every time we go there so we can get some SWAG!!!! :)

The amount you've set aside is ample to take you nearly anywhere. If you could give me an idea of what part of the world you want to see, the length of time and time of year, it would be helpful.

We've been all over the world and know the ins and outs but you need to provide more definitive information. Send me a note at pjallittle@gmail.com and we can go from there.

Riviera Maya, Mexico....
Stay at the IBEROSTAR MAYA.. It's exceptional!! ...all rooms are suites and the pool and grounds are fantastic. The beach is great and there are a lot of things to do in the area.

Best yet.. it's all inclusive (with both buffet restaurants and MANY ala carte restaurants to choose from... plus you get free access to the adjoining Iberostar hotels (Lindo, DelMar and Beach).
You wouldn't be disappointed.

We went to Yellowstone for 10 days and absolutely loved it! For both of us, it cost a total of $1050 which would be way under your budget..we drove, stayed in fairly nice hotels in West Yellowstone, BBQ some of our meals, but also ate out at fancy places...I highly recommend it if you are interested in the outdoors at all- It is breathtaking and very relaxing and fun!
