in case you're in seek of flavor on grilled ingredients, i might propose a Weber Smokey Joe tailgate type. it truly is charcoal and runs approximately $30. additionally, get a chimney starter or the wax cubes to get the charcoal going. do no longer use too lots charcoal in a small unit. It does not take lots. specific. slightly gas grill is far less complicated, yet you will no longer get the comparable flavor. some people can no longer look to flavor the adaptation. From what you have suggested, for sure you could. So, i think of you would be disillusioned in a gas type, although you will get some great flavors with marinades and wood chips etc. It purely purely isn't that classic charcoal flavor. additionally, notice that Kingsford has extreme warmth charcoal now. So, I say to bypass with the save type charcoal in a small college charcoal grill. The Kingsford is purely too warm for the small grills. i'm a fish fry and grilling author - interest.

Ya know, ya really should experiment and see what y'like. Most meats and veggies turn out quite different when y'grill them as opposed to boiling, roasting or frying. Marinades and rubs also dramatically affect flavor - there are some that'll knock yer socks off! And it makes a difference whether you grill over gas or charcoal. So be bold and try a bunch of recipes over the coming grilling season. Be forewarned though - you grill out of doors and you may have more friends than you ever thought you would - the scent of good barbecue is one heck of a lure. Got any cute, young, available women in yer neighborhood? Hint, hint!

i really love everything grilled but the best is steaks like a nice t-bone or porterhouse! they are so good.burgers, brats chicken breast, hot dogs are all good on the grill and pork chops too if you eat pork.i love ribs but not on the grill.i take my ribs and par boil them for about a hour and a half.i take the ribs out of the pot and place in a roasting pan and cover the meat with a great bbq sauce like kc masterpiece or bulls eye. cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.it is so good!

Pretty much anything savory. I'm a big fan of meats and fresh garden veges on the grill.
Last year I was smoking homegrown tomatoes on my grill and using them to make smokey tomato and bacon soup, a recipe by Chef Caprial Pence. It was soooooo awsome.

Our favorite cookout is the one that's on the grill at the time. :-)
Direct fire - steaks, fajitas, ahi tuna, boneless chicken breasts, pork chops, gourmet burgers, kabobs...
Indirect fire/Rotissere - tri-tip, beer-can chicken, beef roasts, brined Thanksgiving turkey...
Smoked/slow cooked - Cedar plank salmon, Carolina pulled pork, baby-back ribs...
For meal planning and grilling instructions for how to grill steaks, chicken breasts, pork chops (pretty much our direct fire list ) we like to use the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com.
Great question! This is making me hungry.
