In the beginning w/ Adam/Eve, Satan challenged God when he bascially said humans don't need him to rule. They can rule themselves (they certainly don't need Jehovah). And that we only serve him out of fear & what WE get. So God basically said "Ok, Satan. I'll accept your challenge. I'll let u try to prove this." Look what its resulted in! Time is quickly running out. H\God's son Jesus proved by his death that humans can serve God even through trials. And soon Jehovah & his son will wipe out Satan and his influence on this world. Only a matter of time. Please contact me or any Jehovah's Witnesses & we'd be HAPPY to help you free of charge. :)

Yep - read Revelation. God first makes us all through the tribulation and then casts out Satan from this world.
Then, after 1,000 years on earth - Satan is actually let out again! And then once again put down by God.
What is the point behind the timeline? Who knows. It does seem rather sad really that there is a time limit on Satan - but that know one knows how long we are all supposed to suffer with Satan. Along with the idea of all the lost souls that will be sentenced to hell for all eternity because Satan is allowed to continue what he's doing.
And by the way - Satan will always be alive. Even after the second coming Satan will be alive and suffering for all eternity in hell.

Satan challenged God's right to rule or his sovereignty.
Claiming that humans can rule themselves without the help of God just fine.
But as we see, that is so not the case. There have been war after war, multiple killings, and so forth.
God has an appointed time yes.
But we also have clues as to how close that time is near to us. Read Matthew 24:3-48 I believe, and also 2 Timothy 3:1-5, and also Revelation 21.
Hope this helped ya.

Satan was one of God's most beautiful angels, Satan became very proud and envious of God, He thought He could be more powerful than God.
God cast Him from heaven to earth.
Satan deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, Adam ate of it also.
That is the Fall of Adam and Eve, which brought sin into the world.
It gave mankind a choice to choose good or evil (follow God or follow satan).
satan hates God, so the only thing he wants is our souls.
satan is the only one who is already judged. He is doomed for destruction.
Only God knows when this will happen.

Satan has one thousand years to live after Christ's 2nd advent. After that he is allowed to tempt people one more time. And that is only for what the bible calls a "shot season. Then he faces the lake of fire. Christ's 2nd advent comes between 2013 and 2020. Satan's time for forgiveness lapsed long ago, he is already sentenced to death . I believe you will find this is pretty close to what you wanted to know.

God desires that all should be saved, and is waiting for as many people to accept Him as possible. If you read Revelation in the Bible, it will answer a lot of your questions about the Second Coming, the Millenium, and other things.
Satan is lost forever, and has made no deals with God. He hates God. As for a time limit - there is no set date. The Bible does not tell us when the world will end.

I've come to realize God is a God of details. He will arrange things in the proper order so all the details are in place. God spent thousands of years arranging the exact details so Jesus' sacrifice would be the perfect covenant between God and man. He is arrange the details now so that the end will be perfect and just. In the interim He is calling all to Him to offer the opportunity to spend eternity with Him rather than separated from Him.

Satan is still enjoying the power and authority on earth vested in him. He will not be so much in a hurry to give up his crown and turban since he is still very much welcome to so many whom he gave the splendor and richness on earth.
