That's easy -- they're ALL fake. "Entities" invented by people to control the masses. Duh. Puleez.

You don't. You just follow the faith that seems the most sensible and applicable to you, if it helps you to live a happier life and make you a better person, then it's the right faith for you.
I believe that the human mind isn't capable of comprehending the enormity or existence of 'God'. There is no way we could ever prove or disprove his existence. There could be one God, there could be many, or there could be none. I don't see that any good can come from questioning it. The belief that some religions are more true than others is the cause of most conflict in the world today.
Personally, I'm agnostic. I don't think I have the right to say which religion or God is 'fake' or not.

It's difficult to answer offhand, because how do you know which god is true or even if there is a god. If you begin to question ask how many have seen god? A mere handful and their experiences have been narrated sometimes by others. All religions did not spring up yesterday. They cam e into existence a very long time ago. Even earlier some religions died out. Were the gods of the religions that have died out fake. Are the gods of today's religions true. Great evils are committed by nations and individuals, sometimes in the name of god. Is god a fake or is the religion and its interpretation fake? We are not born Christians, Jews, Hindus or Buddhist. We are made to adopt the religion of the household we are born into. We have no choice in the matter of religion or for that matter the god we believe in.
Another thing, science teaches us that humankind evolved over centuries, religion says otherwise. What is correct empirical truth or unquestioning belief? You have to decide for yourself if the god you believe in is true or fake.

Assign each God a number, and roll a 20 sized die as a process of elimination. You may need to use multiple dice as there are thousands of gods that need to be knocked off. Once you have reduced your list to one god, find the appropriate book, and beg forgiveness for ever doubting Him in the first place.
This may take several days so be sure to have a healthy supply of rice and water... unless your God ends up being Money and Capitalism, in which case you should only consume quality name brand products.

The ones without a limited edition serial number and the artist's signature. Sometimes the fakes are so good, you can only tell under a microscope.

What Schneb says is true. 100% accuracy in prophecy matters are essential. Without that, there is not integrity and therefore nothing to base your faith on.
The Bible offers this and it is how I came to trust it in other areas than just the fortold rise and fall of nations and the modern day "signs" of the last days.
Those who are telling you that all gods are fake are being blissfully ignorant to their own harm.

To quote Jack Johnson:
"We feel certain but we'll never, never know
It sure seems the same, give it a different name"
Or maybe Galileo:
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
We'll never know. It is beyond our senses, beyond our reason, beyond our intellect. Worry about something that matters.
Confucius says:
"Work on what is right, respect the spirts and gods but keep a distance. Such behaviour can be considered wisdom."

Every argument that can be used to show why one is false can be used against all of them. Prove one god is fake and you prove they all are.

By finding the truth.
No one can tell you. All faiths beleive that they alone have the right way - many are told what to believe in by their families and just never leave that system.
Most base their beliefs on what someone/something else tells them.

Ha.I'll definatly answer this one!lol.
When you ask a silly question as most of us have, and you get an answer with a good 'high' feeling with it.
Or.....when you pray for something and nothing happens-its fake.
