I would wait FOREVER for my boyfriend if he was going through a tough time. I love him soooo much and I could never even think about leaving him. He's all I have and all I want to have. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 If I were you I'd try to make the love of my life feel better, and get them help. I'd go visit them everyday with cupcakes and cookies and give them lots of hugs and kisses and make them happier!! I LOVE MY BOYFRIEND!! I hope things go well with u and ur girlfriend, maybe all that she needs is a little fresh air. take her out on a picnic~

She's blowing you off for a reason. It doesn't make sense that she can't see you cause of being emotional or stressed. Don't wait at all! Go on with your life and if you're available when she decides she wants to see you then great, otherwise, at least you didn't waste time waiting around.

The love of my life is locked up right now. I havent touched him in over a year now. It will be November and a chance maybe longer than that but I'm here waiting and I'll stay waiting because he's the man I love and he's worth that. It all comes down to if you really love her and want to be with her.

I actually did this once - I was crazy about this girl, but I was 21 and she was 16 so I resolved to wait 2 years before getting serious with her.
Turned out she wasn't eager to wait that long, and found someone else to "burst her bubble"....that's what you get for trying to do the right thing.

Well if she's being genuine about not wanting to see you because of her problems than I would wait. If she loves you, you shouldn't have to wait that long. Depends on the situation

As long as it seemed healthy for both of you to wait. While it's important to hold onto true love, it's also important to know when to let go of something that just isn't going to work.
Examine your feelings and ask her to do the same. Are you both holding on because it's safer than letting go and being alone?

It's not fair for you to have to put your life on hold while you wait for someone to love you back. Move on with your life and find happiness somewhere else. If it's meant to be, maybe you'll reconnect one day, but you should accept that right now it's not for the best and that you deserve to be happy.

my now husband and I had a long distance relationship for 3 years. we got married in may and I had to leave to finish my last semester of school so I was gone another near 4 months. the longest we went w/out seeing one another was 6 months! it is very difficult, taxing on the mind and heart...but it can be done! you BOTH have to be committed to doing it though!
PS: plane tickets got really expensive but they were worth it!
