I went on a cruise to the gulf a year ago today, I had a great time but when I got back I started feeling lots of pain in my genitals. Over the year the pain progressed to different areas of my body, and now it's everywhere and overwhelming. It's been a year full of doctors visits and prescriptions, but no answers, not a single sign of any infection, no positive tests, and no relief. Although I've never had sex I'm worried that it's a STI, and I don't let myself date any longer. I need an honest opinion, Am I ever going to live another day without this? If not how can I be expected to live a life of pain and loneliness? Any suggestions on what to do would also be very helpful

You might have a systemic yeast infection, which may have begun in the genitals (warm moist climate in the gulf, especially if you went swimming in the water too), and now it has spread throughout your body. This is very common and can be cured.

Look up systemic yeast infection on Google and see if it matches your symtoms.

If you haven't received any answers from MD try seeing a naturopathic doctor. Try to find naturopaths that don't advertise but are booked up. I could suggest a great one from Portland, Oregon but not anywhere else. Maybe you could find a good one here..

I highly doubt anyone here can give you the kind of advice that you require.

You may want to consult a doctor (read: an actual MD with a license to practice).

I think you should also try to communicate with a doctor from around the place where you took that vacation, sometimes local people might know something outsiders don't.
