Ok, I'm not gay. I like girls but I just haven't ever gone out with any.

No it's not strange. I would guess that u haven't had a gf yet because you haven't gone after the girls that u like. U may not be confident in yourself enough to be attractive to girls who are interested in u so they may not approach u either. I bet that u have let alot of chances go by because of that. Just relax and be yourself. be yourself. be yourself. That's all that u can do. You'll have all of the confidence in the world if you are comfortable with yourself.

I'm 19 and never had a girlfriend, so no, it's not that strange. As for 2 posts before, if you're 12 and are already complaing about an ex, good luck with life. Back to the question, I'm not saying this in a sexist or mean way, but girls cost time and money. As I was very focused on football and getting ready for college ball, I had neither as you can imagine. Don't worry man. The right one will come along, or you'll just date around in college.

No, it's not strange at all. It's easier for girls when it comes to dating, since for the most part, we don't have to provide the finances or the transportation. That kind of responsibility takes fore thought and planning initially by the guy, and then when the guy has a girlfriend it becomes a joint process, and should happen when you're ready and have chosen a deserving female. Emphasis on DESERVING! Don't sweat it young dude, take your time.

same thing here, semi formal is coming up and i am currently working up the courage to ask my first girl 2morow, but i am in the same boat. I figure a time will come when I want to do it, not when friends, etc. tell me to. Even if the semi person says yes, i will probably keep her as a new friend. Being 17 and not having a date is only strange if u let urself believe that

My 18 year old daughter has never had a boyfriend and I don't consider her strange. She is very shy and has always been pretty academically inclined so I think she just wasn't approached by the right person yet. I willpray that you both find a good soul for your first relationships. Good luck to you and God Bless.

Nope. Not strange at all. You just haven't found someone who interests you enough to take the step into bf/gf territory. It's a big step, not one to be taken lightly. Take your time and talk with girls who interest you and you may find yourself with your first girlfriend sooner than you think. Just don't rush it. You're very young yet and have plenty of time for matters of the heart.

Goodness no! My husband didn't have his first girlfriend until college. He said he doesn't regret it b/c he got to hang out with his friends (he's 30 and still talks to many of them) and he wasn't all bitter against women because he didn't have any bad experiences. So when I met him I fell right in love and we've been together for over 10 years!

it's not common but it's not strange either, i think it's awesome that you have enough self esteem to be open about it, i bet alot of older people haven't had a significant other yet, but they just lie about, rock on brother, I'm sure you'll get a girl when you are ready
