Yes, hell can be open to interpretation. In the Bible, did Jesus mean that Hell will be literally full of flames, or just eternal separation from God? I've hear both with good arguemnts. Also, much of the actual Christan religion depends on the denomination. When my mom was in a multi-denominational Bible study, the first thing they agreed on was "Jesus saves" and the entire group never agreed completely on anything else. Someone would be out. Chirstians are more about following Christ than beliveing in "a fiery pitt of hell"

I can't speak for God but I believe you can be a good Christian and not believe in hell.
But there are a lot of bad places you can stray into that might as well be hell.
Once hell was described to me as a place of despair, and despair is feeling you are beyond all hope and God's love.
In truth what is hell? Is it a place where you turn your back on God? The ultimate place of suffering? A place to wishfully send everyone you hate? Or just a metaphoric idea to demonstrate the possibility of divine justice?
Personally I think God is smarter than all that. And that salvation isn't just a spiritual E ticket to an eternal Disneyland.
Once an Evangelist told me I was firmly on the road to hell. I had to ask him if I should expect to see him in hell too. He assured me that would never happen. At that moment I knew hell wasn't all bad.
Live a good life, be true to your beliefs, it's better to be an honest heretic than a boot lick without faith.

You ask a query, and a few moron rates various texts at you like that counts as a] questioning and b] clean information. all of us know what the Bible says. If we don't we are able to look it up. I presume you're asking: on condition that the Bible talks some hell, how come no longer all Christians have self belief in it? by using fact some people artwork from first concepts, which enable us to grade Scriptures in accordance to their religious truly worth. precise of the tree is: God is Love. question: might a God for this reason defined enable his very own creatures to be tormented for the different reason than to purify them of wickedness - which prefer basically take moments, no longer the full of eternity? yet another precise text cloth: "Our Father". Do even earthly fathers bypass in for plunging their little ones, no count how heinous their offences, into torture chambers for any reason in any respect? No, they might particularly bypass interior the path of the hearth of their place - which could be what the bypass is approximately. The vile concept of a burning fiery hell of whose soreness its inhabitants are totally huge conscious and from which they are able to in no way escape is fully unChristians and has been referred to as such for an prolonged time, different than between fundamentalists, the place favourite standards of theology and rational concept do no longer practice.

the foundation of the christian belief is the Holy bible.this is regaurded as Gods word given to man by holy revelation.each and every word must be true or none of it can be trusted to be valid.
for example someone give you an answer key for a test. but they tell you that 1/2 the answers are wrong.Which ones? that would make the whole thing usless to you right?well the same goes for the bible,we must accept it all as truth .If the part about hell is not true. then how can we be sure the part about salvation is true?Jesus himself talks about eternal punishment of the wicked, if he lied ,then how can we believe he told the truth about heaven and eternal life?as christians we cant pick and choose what parts we like in the Bible/instead we (study the word to show ourselves approved)and pray always for wisdom and understanding.
peace><>

I'm a Christian and I believe that the so-called fiery pits of hell will be the mental anguish and endless torments one will have to endure after taking the wrong paths in mortality.
Immortal beings, having been resurrected, won't feel physical pain, but the mental side of it will do the job!

It would make perfect sense, especially since a fiery hell is not explicitly mentioned in the scriptures. That's actually a Babylon concept that crept into "Christianity" via the Catholic Church...

I don't think so. The Bible says about the Hades and Sheol.
Also hell is an English word. When Mark recorded Christ's words, he wrote them in the Greek language. The Greek word translated "hell," which Mark was inspired to write down, is gehenna.
Since in this verse Christ says the sinner is "to go into hell, into the fire," it follows that those who go to gehenna will receive punishment by fire.

Then you call Christ a liar. Also, why convert to Christianity if you don't want to believe the doctrine they preach? There are thousands of so-called Christians out there that do not believe in Hell, and they are wrong, and not true Christians.
Please, don't bother considering Christianity at all if you don't want to accept the real core doctrines of it, which include full submission and passing of control and willpower to Christ.

There is debate among those of The True Christian Faith as to exactly the "punishment" of those who reject God will be... It ain't going to be good whatever side gets it right... But to answer your question directly... Yes... This is the Salvation Message: All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation....
There are many teachings that one will come to understand in their life as a Chriatian... And Hell is one of those things...But one must first come to be a Christian... .
Salvation is a free gift from God... All who come to God as He prescribes will receive it... no where in the teaching of Jesus The Christ is it said you must believe in a particular "interpritation" of Hell to be "saved"
All who receive God's free gift of Salvation become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.
Personaly I believe there will be a firey end for those rejecting God...
If you have questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith you may email me. One honest question will receive one honest answer to the best of my ability.

That would be me! Just because the original translations got mucked up by a few bad apples, doesn't mean I have to buy into that thought process. I could hardly consider God "loving" if I were to believe that he would torture any one for eternity, now could I? Uhm the Bible does talk about FALSE RELIGION, and that doctrine would be one of the top FALSE ones. I have no interest in serving a God who I am afraid of, I want to do it willingly and without fear. Its up to us as Christians to discern what is true or false. Even Jesus gave us a checklist to reference what is true or not.
