I really want one (actually two). I've had the designs forever but I'm affraid I will regret getting them. I did so many things in my life that are irreversible....and that's not a good feeling. Tats are PERMANENT....well, removing them is expensive, painful and leaves a scar. I finally decided not to get them, but the thought is still there in my head :).

It's not a question of whether or not I should get them - I'm still undecided. Did YOU ever regret getting a tatto?!

Okay! I don't have one and not planning to get one, but anyways it's your choice and well I would say that if your going to get one DON'T PUT NAMES even if you think you really love them and that your life will be with that person, it might just not happen YOU MAY REGRET IT. Hope it helps =).

I don't regret any of mine. They all make this time line of my life and what was going on at the time. The closest thing to regret for my tats is like Somebody answered... not researching the artist. I had known what I wanted for a couple years, then turned 18 and basically ran out the door to the closest tattoo shop. I got what I wanted but it was done really poorly. The lines were uneven and the color was just kind of flat. I've had it touched up and added on to it a bit since then. But I wouldn't fully cover it, it will always be a part of me. (and a reminder to think before i act!)
Hang on to your drawings, if you've thought about it this long, it's likely one day you'll decide you want to go ahead and get them done.

I have one I regret. I was only 17 when I got it. I just picked the design at random, it had no special meaning to me. I went with a friend because we got a wild hair. I know it sounds stupid, but I was young. I've thought about getting it removed, but it's in a place that's always covered, so I will probably just live with it. My best advice would be to think about your design and what special meaning it has to you. If it is something you still believe you'll love when you're old, go for it. Also, give a lot of consideration to the part of your body you want it on... do you always want it to show, even when you're 70? Then if you're still set on getting the tattoos, do lots of research in order to find the best artist in your area.

Yes! I have three that I regret. I have changed so much in the past 5-10 years and I absolutely regret having them permanently on my body. It's a personal preference for everyone, but if I could go back in time, I would pass on the tattoos.

I thought long and hard about each of my tattoos. After designing each, I kept the picture on my bedroom wall and on my day planner so I would see them often. I did that for at least 6 months before having them done, to be sure I wouldn't get sick of seeing it! I have three tattoos, and I only regret the placement of the first one - it isn't high enough. That's only because I didn't have the guts to tell the artist that I wanted it higher - I let her tell me it would look better there. In the end, it's my body and my choice. I now know I have to be really sure of what I want (and why), and tell the artist exactly what I want.

I have 2 tattoos. The first one I got was when I was only 16 years old, although I didn't regret it at the time I do now ( I'm 27). The second one I love because it has alot of meaning. Both of are in descreet places only allowed to be seen by myself and my husband, I would never get a tattoo that you can't hide or cover up if needed, but I'm a professional so maybe you don't have to woory about that, but it's something to think about.

the only thing i have regretted about my tattoos is not researching artists and being informed about their talent levels. i got tattoos when i was 18 years old and had no idea that there were some tattoo artists that were more talented than others. i just thought they were all the same. (dumb, i know) so i got some horrible tattoos. i have since had them covered up. they are still there, just behind my much better tattoos. so there you go. if you get something that means something to you and it is something that you have thought about for a while then you probably won't regret it but the less often you see your tattoo the less likely you are to hate it later i life. does that make sense?

I have 9 tattoos and only regret one but not because of the design but because the artist who did the tattoo put the needle in wrong and triggered a nerve. Now I have a spot on my arm where I cannot feel a thing.

I dont regret either of mine. I do wish I had gotten one a little smaller. But, both of the ones I have are thoughtful and have meaning. I already have the drawings for more, but havent had the time to do it.
If you really fear you will regret it, then I would say not to get it. But, I was nervous before I got both of mine, so some nerves is normal!

No. I love my tattoos, i have 6, more to come. they all have some kind of meaning, not all are huge significant meanings, but every one ive gotten has been at a different time in my life, and what i wanted at the time. i could never regret them, they are a part of my body now.but i never doubted them, so until you dont have any doubts, do Not get anything permanently put on your body.

well most of mine are relatively new, so of course i dont regret them. my oldest, i got right after i turned 18. and like what was mentioned before, i didnt research tattoo shops and artists. i too didnt think there was a difference in skill levels. so i went to the one in my small town. i still love the idea of it, but it was really poorly done. i am now trying to find a good artist to make it look amazing. i had my idea for years before i finally got it done, i actually drew it on me with a sharpie a couple weeks before to see how i wanted it placed and make sure that once it was on me i didnt hate it.
