It clearly says in the Declaration of Independence that everyone is entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Stop trying to take away people's happiness.

If illegal immigrants are allowed to file lawsuits with the ACLU, then that means that the laws apply to us even if we aren't "American"

The Declaration of Indpendence was a charge of greivances against the King of England, and a charge of separation from England. It is not a set of laws... that's what the Constitution does. If you want to quote the Declaration, let me also quote this part of it :

"He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither..."

See the "laws of naturalization"? That means the colonists felt there should be a systematic, legal way for people to become American citizens. And that is what we have in the United States - laws that allow immigration, and people need to follow those laws.

Read the whole Declaration - the whole thing is a list of charges against someone whom they felt was breaking the law!

Actually it doesn't say anything about being American to enjoy these philosophical principals of enlightenment.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness"

So, by perverting these words to imply that you as an American are superior over any other race or even more disturbing is that this somehow brings you happiness.....

Then, yes, you are a racist in the every sense of the word.

I agree with you, but you need to be reminded: the Declaration of Independence is a statement of principle, not of law. Most of the laws in the US are precisely designed to take away people's life, liberty, property, and above all else, their right to pursue happiness.

The Declaration of Independence was written for citizens of the United States of America.
If you aren't a citizen it doesn't apply to you.

The ACLU is not "American" anymore it is the ALIEN Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU is not interested in protecting any American "rights", they are all about the racist la raza now.

As an illegal alien, you have exactly two "rights".
The right to be arrested.
The right to be deported.

Illegal aliens have some constitutional rights, but not all of the same rights that citizens and legal immigrants have. Most importantly, illegal aliens do not have the right to be in the US. The rights you are referring to are human rights, not legal rights. The US government does not guarantee happiness to anyone, nor the opportunity to pursue it. You are free to pursue happiness all you want, as long as you don't violate any laws while you are doing it. Coming into the US illegally means you forfeit your right to pursue happiness here.

If you're an illegal then you have no rights, it's that simple. You're a nothing, a criminal at best and that means you are less than nothing. We're not gong to let a bunch of illegals dictate to us in any way, shape or form. If you want rights, come into the country legally and then we'll talk but until then, screw you and your rights.

The Declaration of Independence is not a law so it cant be enforced or ignored. Our Federal Immigrations Laws say you must have proper documentation to enter and stay in this country. Illegal aliens have neither. The ACLU is anti-legal American and needs to be eliminated ,or at least stopped from using the word "American " in its name.
Find your happiness the legal way.

It just tickles me to no end when I see the illegals or the pro-illegals try to make logic out of a pile of dung soo very conveniently to justify their little agenda to break laws.

Come on, people, keep talking, I need some of your reasonings to get my pal Ricco out of his money laundering/drug dealing/body cementing case.........

What law(s) is the ACLU enforcing? The America Comes Last Union is not who I would use to further my argument for illegal immigration.

P.S. When my brothers and I find you we will forceably deport your backside into a school of sharks. Go back to whatever third world hell-hole you crawled out of. And yes, I am racist against ILLEGALS, and proud of it.

Oh, and go ahead and report me you weak-willed sycophant. Can't handle the truth can you. AMERICANS HATE ILLEGALS!

The Declaration of Independence only applies to people who are residents of this country. Plus, it is not a law, and therefore cannot be "enforced." That's 2 reasons why it doesn't apply to illegals.
