that everything was created with a purpose , but as hard as i look i cant find what the appendix does except burst and make us ill.

Our ancient ancestors needed it, but we don't. The appendix is thought to have descended from an organ in our distant herbivorous ancestors called the cecum. The cecum is maintained in modern herbivores, where it houses the bacteria that digest cellulose, a chemically tough carbohydrate that these animals could not otherwise utilize. The human appendix contains no significant number of these bacteria, and cellulose is indigestible to humans. It seems likely that the appendix lost this function before human ancestors became recognizably human.

first medicine is not perfect yet, they are many many things to be done, because we discovered what we caught but unseen things still unknown.Regarding vermiform appendix we knew that a small amount of mucos came from it into the cecum helping for lubrication and in it's wall there is lymphatic tissue this is part of imun system and future can tell us more.All things were created for something but we can not see and discover all because we 've a limit .
