the chihuahua is 3 years old and this is her 3rd pregnancy. she started giving signs of beginnung labor last night at approximately 11:30pm. a sa of clear fluid came out of her vagina after discharge. the sack looked like a bubble.this morning I checked on her and she still had the sack hanging out . an hour later i checked on her again and the sack wasn't outside anymore. is this normal?

You are only about 12 hours late getting her to the vet. I hope he is able to save any of the pups. Put it off much longer and the question is if he will be able to save the mother.....
Then again 3rd pregancy at 3 yrs speaks volumes - she is worn to a frazzle.....

Get her to the vet. That bubble is a puppy sack. Due to the amount of time it has been there, she may have a puppy stuck.

I have seen this 3 times. The first time the dog didn't really seem to be in labor and she ended up needing a c-section because a puppy was stuck. The sack would go in and out though. The second two times, the female (a different female) was in labor and I was able to get a hold of a paw and pull when she was having a contraction (breech presentation both times with the first puppy of the litter).
