well, you probably are having anxiety and panic attacks, but the meds are not working for you and could be the reason you are having the problems you are...I would think that you should change meds, and try some xanax, which could be a life saver for you...but be careful with any med, cause they are all addictive, and xanax can cause bad seizures..Pray on it, and you will feel better also...

Probably the attacks are severe anxiety rather than panic. Panic attacks can come one on top of the other for a period of time and that is not unusual...but months at a time is.
I have never known a doctor to prescribe effexor xr (extended release) three times a day...the extended release should not have to be taken this way.
I would suggest you seek another opinion...your panic and anxiety would certainly be considered atypical and your treatment as well. You need to be in a good cognitive therapy program and peer support group. You might also benefit from an anti-anxiety medication if your doctor feels it is appropriate.

It's time to talk to your dr about the effects of effexor. Try effexor-xr. It's been a miracle drug for me for over 6 years now-but you may also need a tranquilizer along with it. I heard panic attacks can last for moments but can also last for months-on & off. Psycotherapy can help very much. My best to you................

It could be a reaction to psychotropic medications.I'm not saying it is.Nobody knows what the long term effects on the human body are.

you'd have to ask another doctor but to me it sounds like you might be dissociating, like having an out of body experience.
