I would like to paint my sons room in "Disney Pixar Cars" and I would like to do the main color in a rust color...I have been to Shremain Williams, Lowes, and Walmart to look for that color...but no luck... SO MY QUESTION IS: Is there such a color as rust??? (You know the color of "Mator")
Thanks for your time

If you can find a swatch of that color (on paper, fabric or anything else) bring it to a good paint store to try to have that color matched. Disney itself does have a line of paint out that is carried in Home Depot. They may have a color that is made for Mator. I know that they also have decals to go on the walls to match the paint colors. If this still does not help you... try to find a Benjamin Moore store near you. They can match just about anything. They also have many of their colors in tiny bottles that you can paint on the walls in small sections until you find just the right color. In the long run this may save you some money. Another idea for your Home Depot adventure (sorry for putting this out of order) would be to check what they call "oopse paint". Alot of times they have colors there that are hidious, however on more than one occasion I have found just the color I was looking for. This is paint that is discounted to $5 a gallon because it was not made just right. If you do find what you are looking for, make sure that they have enough for the job you want to do as you will not be able to match it easily in the future. If you still have no luck with finding the colors that you are looking for consider using other colors and using the rust as a detail color in the room. By doing this you can go to an arts and crafts store and find many colors or mix your own for the detail. Depending on how "rusty" you want it to look will depend on how hard it is for you to match this color. It would not hurt to mix a bit of gold flecks into the paint either to make it look like the rust is comming off the wall. This will only be good if your son is old enough to know not to pull the paint of the wall and eat it. I hope that I have been a help to you. Your project sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck.

At most of the retail paint stores they can mix the color that you want..bring in a sample of the color your looking for and see what they can do for you.

You can go to HOMEDEPOT and ask them to make you a color. They will make whatever color you need. I suggest you take a sample of what the color looks like.

If you bring in a sample or item that is the color you want, the home store can match it up.
I do it all the time.
