I've been a Christian for a little over a year. I've attended various churches, from Baptist to non-denominational, and I just don't feel comfortable in any of them. Lately, I've been really interested in Catholicism. Where can I find accurate information online?
Also, if anyone is Catholic and wants to share, that would be appreciated as well.

My question basically is, I need ACCURATE information. I'm quite aware of the available search engines. I know that the Catholic Church is subject to just as much criticism as everyone else. I want to make sure that I'm reading something accurate and not just some random person's take on it.

Hey, great job. I myself am converting to Catholicism, (I use to attend a baptist church as well) and first started out by studying the writings of the early Christians and comparing them to catholic belief. I found this to be very informative because I could see how catholics shared the same beliefs as they have always since the early days of the church. I'd recommend you to read letters from some writers as Polycarp, Justin Martyr, and Clement, but first I'd recommend you reading something which actually explains the teachings of the church there is a great book called "This is the Faith" it helped me a lot, or even the catechism of the catholic church. If you want more basic stuff "Catholicism for Dummies" is pretty good for beginners. www.catholic.com is also helpful on certain apologetic subjects. You can read the catechism of the catholic church at http://www.vatican.va/archive/catechism/ccc_toc.htm.
!! Also something that is useful is that alot of catholic books may have a disclaimer saying:
NIHIL OBSTAT: I have concluded that the materials
presented in this work are free of doctrinal or moral errors.
then the name of a bishop who has read the work and has agreed that this is correct teaching of the catholic church.

Wikipedia is written by anyone. You can't be certain info there is correct.
I'd be happy to answer any and all questions. Feel free to drop me a note.
The links provided by AMDG are all good ones. But you should know FishEaters is a traditionalist site. It's a favorite site of mine. But there is a vast difference between your average American Catholic and your old fashion Catholic, like me.
Catholicism for Dummies is an excellent book if you've got the coin. It's written by two well known priests who are regulars on EWTN.
If you've got a dish or cable, check and see if your service carries EWTN. Even if it's just to watch mass. Watch for programs with Fr. Stan Fortuna, Fr. Mitch Pacwa and Fr. John Korapi. Really good stuff.

I, myself have never read it, but I know that some people recommend (believe it or not) the book Catholicism for Dummies. You can also attend RCIA classes at your local Catholic Church.
God bless,
