Cremation, burying, freezing, etc, which one will you choose and why? Also if you choose burying, where will you get buried? It just came to mind that I don't recall any atheist cemeteries in my area, and I don't know if they exist.
Or do you just not care, because when the time comes you'll be dead?
Just curious, not attacking.

Yeah well in most cities in my country these days there are what are known as nondenominational cemetaries as there are more people of various religions than there is space for burial plots. No matter what I choose, I will have a place. Where do you live where there are only Christian cemeteries? Where do they bury the Jews? What about the Muslims, Buddhist, Sihks, Zoroastrians, Santarians, Voodoo practitioners and well every other cultural religious or non religions group in the city? Do the dead line your sidewalds or are they just dumped into the junk yard? Of course there is burial options for every human being regardless of their faith.

I really don't care. I'm dead. Whatever's cheap. I just don't want to burden my family with the costs associated with my death. I think cremation is typically the cheapest. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind donating my body for scientific/medical research. Might as well make use of me!

I personally don´t care, I just want all my "good" organs may be given to those who can still use it. Besides that, if you wanna grind me up and make burgers, just fine, if you want to turn me into a statue, ok... I would, if nobody would care about doing anything to my body, choose to be burried naked right in contact with the earth, or cremated. Just wouldnt like to be put inside a box all dressed up like a groom...For that´s silly and hypocritical.

I was leaning toward cremation and having my family doing as they see fit, but thinking about it, I would like to have my body donated for organs & scientific study, and if that German guy makes a sculpture out of my carcass, all the better! =0)

I would like to have enough wits about me, should I grow old and feeble, to crawl into the forest and die among the roots and leaves on the forest floor. To rot into the soil and be absorbed by the life all around. If I can't do that, just throw me in a ditch somewhere.

What a morbid question! But for what it's worth...
I don't think a dead body is of much use lest it be utilized medically. It would also be useful to be buried in a shallow grave without a casket (seriously).

The bits and pieces that can still be used for transplant will be taken off. The body then will be used by med students to study anatomy. What's left will be disposed of. Case closed.

Have you never seen a memorial park? Most cemeteries are not tied to a particular religion... here in non-bumfukk, anyway.
