Highest levels of folate are generally in the dark-green leaf vegetables such as spinach and turnip greens, but folate is also found in dried beans and peas, fortified cereal products, sunflower seeds as well as certain other fruits and vegetables are rich sources of folate, as is liver.

It is hard to say which single food is highest in folate (folic acid). Good food sources include:

mushrooms
green vegetables
peanuts/legumes
citrus fruits and their juices (especially oranges and strawberries)
liver (Yum!)

Note: Raw foods have a higher content of folate because this vitamin (like many others) can be lost in the cooking process.

Best wishes and good luck.
