Guys and Gals: Is she really interested in me?

Question

No, I'm not asking for real. But some variation of this MUST be the most-asked question on this site!

So, can you give a GENERAL idea of what common behavior indicates attraction, and what does not? I want to keep this general, for the broadest applicability.

For Guys: You can tell a girl likes you by...
1. She always is trying to be around you.
2. She talks to you a lot, and acts different around you then she does around others. Example: She's usually quiet and shy, but when she's around you she's loud and outgoing, or vice versa.
3. She plays with her hair a lot, or she touches her lips a lot.
4. If her friends ask who you like all the time. [[HAHA]]

For Girls: You can tell if a guy likes you by...

1. He talks confusedly a lot, sweats when he talks to you.
2. He acts differently
3. Follows you like a little puppy.
4. Secretly takes looks at you.
5. When your talking to him, he looks at your lips a lot.
6. Looks directly at you when he's talking to you.

Isn’t that the problem? If we knew we wouldn’t ask. If we weren’t proved wrong when we thought we were right we would know. So we try to gather experiences and examples from others to compare to try to understand the little things. The worst part is it doesn’t always end. We would like it to be able to look down and see the ring on our finger and be reassured, but then we think, “dang, what does he (or she) see in me?”

Behaviors vary according to the individual, but I think there are a few key tipoffs. I think that touching and staring are sometimes good indicators. Also, if the person tries to get you alone and keeps talking to you, that's a good indication that he/she is probably interested.
