Typhoon is spawned in the Pacific Ocean Hurricane in the Atlantic.

They are the same the hurricane is in the Atlantic and the Typhoon is in the Pacific.

Typhoons are in the Pacific Ocean and hurricanes are in the Atlantic Ocean. That's all.

I have went through several typhoons in the Pacific. No hurricanes yet. They are found in the Atlantic.

The difference is strictly geographic. In the Atlantic, it's called a Hurricane. In the Pacific it's called a Typhoon. Similarly, there are geographic differences in a tital wave vs. tsunami etc.

I think it actually has to do with the direction it is spinning. because their are hurricanes in the pacific along the California Mexico coast lines. When they strike Japan, they are typhoons, but in the same ocean

Hurricanes occur east of 180* and typhoons west of 180*
It is just the same thing, however a naming convention. Typhoon means strong wind. . .or qiang feng
