"In that day those the LORD has slaughtered will fill the earth from one end to the other. No one will mourn for them or gather up their bodies to bury them. They will be scattered like dung on the ground." (Jeremiah 25:33 NLT)

The God of the bible was created in mans image. In those days it was common to model deities after the rulers of the time. It was also common for the rulers at that time to be cruel, vicious, and brutal dictators. Naturally the God of the old testament was modeled to be hateful, mean, cruel, and temperamental. Later the model was modified to create a God with some degree of kindness and love, to fit the changing attitudes of the day. Now, all the cruelty, bigotry, pointless slaughter, and deceit is disregarded and the Abrahamic religions have adapted their deity into an omniscient, omnipotent and benevolent Father.

You are talking about an event that is going to happen in the future: At the last battle (Armegeddon), the forces of AntiChrist will be surrounding Jerusalem intent on invading the city and killing everybody in it.

As the invasion is about to begin, Jesus appears on the earth and the armies of the Anti-Christ will be instantly killed because the Glory of Jesus wil be so great, their flesh will melt off the bones (like in Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark).

It is not an evil God, but a God that fills His promise to save Israel.

Why aren't they buried? There will be too many bodies to bury.
