Stay in the area , of the University , where you are going to !

I travelled 40 miles a day from Liverpool to Manchester , 5 days a week, wasted 15 / 20 hours per week in travel time , that could have been Study Time......and felt too tired from the travel , to Study !

That was only Sept toDecember. The rest of the time I stayed there close to my College and did 8 hours extra study and research per day to make up !

I got a Distinction , in my Diploma......so I made a good decision......you make a good decision too !

Don't forget you can get help off all your Coursemates on your Coursework.....and vice versa......as well as all those Student rate nights out...and all the fun of making life long friends !

It would depend on the school and what I would be majoring in. Going far away from home could be the chance of a lifetime you actually find out what you are made of. It's a chance to start over. I would travel any distance.

I live in Oslo, Norway, and would absolutely travel to a university in New Zealand without hesitation. What exciting 4 years I would get out of that, apart from education, meet new people, have friends, learn the language properly, and most of all, see the world outsid my own doorstep. Safe journey!!

I currently drive and it takes me an hour, what you have to take into consideration is rush hour traffic and how it will reflect on your journey, you need a few practice runs, also try and get there for 9 in the morning as you will more than likely have to get there for that time. You have to take other factors such as will the buses run on time, and what if they dont how much is a taxi.

LOL.. i take a 3 buses and a train.. takes abit over an hour and half.. im so getting my license in 2 months! (hopefully)

its a good way to study.. i mean i hardly ever study at home, and i jus happen to have the books with me on the bus lol jus those early morning lectures are killers!!!

but in the end, dont choose ur uni based on travelling distance.. base it on academic, what u want to study.. 4 years in uni is already sounding like a pretty damn good course to me!! hehe

well goodluck and hope ya make the best decisions aye!!

There are two universities in my town. One is downtown and the other is in a southern suburb. I live in a northern suburb about an hour away. If I had to go to the second school, I would, and that's as far as I'd go. Luckily, I have been accepted to the first one, and will be starting there this fall.

I thought about attending oxford in europe at one time. In the America most colleges are pretty even when it comes to academics unless your going to medical school, where emory excells or Journalism school Where the Univ of Penn is a front runner.
If you can get into a school like that then your in good shape and you should go as far as you half to cause it will defanently pay off in the long run.
Have you considered the service, the Air Force & USMC offer incredible benefits to students
