If the bat bit you go to the hospital immediately, they will give you a number of shots for the rabies vaccine. Even if you had just found the bat in the room where you sleep it's recommended you get the shots. Don't wait as the vaccine has to be administered within a certain time period. If you know where the bat is/ if you killed it contact you local health agency, explain the situation and they will probably want to collect it to test it for rabies.

Yeah. If you are ever bit by any wild animal then you need to go to the hospital. Bats can carry rabies plus a bunch of other diseases. Squirrel bites should even be looked at.
I know that here in Texas, every year there will be someone who gets rabies from a bat. Usually, it is a sick bat or dead bat that they find an pickup.

You should go to the hospital. Bats CAN carry rabies. Unlike many other animals, bats don't really show symptoms of rabies so you don't know (unless you have caught the bat? maybe it can be examine for signs of rabies). Just to be on the safe side, you should see a doctor. They'll probably want to start you on rabies shots.

I'd go straight to the emergency room. Bats are very rarely aggressive, so that's already a red flag. They do in fact carry lots of diseases, including rabies. And... Rabies always kills you if you don't seek immediate treatment. Go get shots!

Seeing as in bats can have rabies, it would be best to go to the hospital or your physician. You may need to get injections to avoid contracting the disease. Who knows, you may turn into a vamp instead. GL!

If you aren't able to bring the bat in to be tested, you will have to be treated for rabies. They assume you have it if they can't prove otherwise, and you must be treated because rabies can be fatal. Go to the hospital today.

Yes. Chances are it will not become infected, and not usually a problem. However, since bats do transmit rabies, you definitely want to have it checked out. Yes, you might have to have a rabies innoculation.
