DO NOT PUT VASELINE OR NEOSPORIN ON YOUR TATTOO!!! ok, now that i have your attention, do not do that!! it will warp your tattoo and suck the color out of it, you need a fragarance free lotion. go to your local drugstore and look on the ingredient label and find one that does not have fragarance added in, if it does, it will burn oh soo badly. i use suave skin therapy natural oatmeal, it is a very soothing lotion, great for dry skin(minimizes the scabbing), tattoo approved (will not burn) and pretty cheap ($1 for a 3.25 oz bottle) whatever you do dont put a petroleum based anything on it!! and dont make the mistake of using baby lotion thinking its extra gentle, it still has a scent and burns like crazy!!

A&D is great for any skin irritation. My husband uses it for chapped skin. It is also really good for diaper rash. I use it on my elbows, knees and heels to keep them soft. Its pretty much an all purpose ointment, but I would keep it out of the bedroom, not sure how that would work out!! You can find it at walmart, walgreens, etccc.. Any drug store will carry it just ask. For a tat you can also use triple antibiotic ointment or neosporin.

Most tattoo artists will tell you not to use anything with an antibacterial product in them, because it will make your tattoo scab over, then fade. Try using vaseline. It keeps it moist, so that it won't dry out and be painful.

Bacitracin for at least the first couple days. After it's starting to heal, just use lotion so it doesn't get too dry and flaky. Helps with itching too.
And I was specifically told on each of my tats DO NOT USE NEOSPORIN!!!!

Vaseline is practically the same thing. However, you will probably be able to find A&D if you look in the baby section in the pharmacy area. It's often used as a diaper rash creme.

I would recommen Vaseline within the first week and then after that Cetaphil works well because it is built to not irritate sensitive skin. Definitely keep it most!

use bacitracin for the 1st 3-5 days. You don not want an infection setting in.
My tats never scabbed over, never itched or peeled or any of that crazy stuff you hear all the time.
Take care of your TAT!!!!!
I use Cetaphil lotion.

Go to your tat shop
they will sell you A&D.
Ask them about using
something different.
They are the ones
that are familiar with
your skin and the types
of ink used in your tat.
Never use Vaseoline!!!
Ink on , Life is short.
