Kidney beans are a good source of both protien and fiber, Any legume ( bean family) are rich in protien and fiber, if you mix rice and beans you will have a complete protien, in other words the mixture contains all the essential amino acids ( building blocks of protien) There are non-essential amino acids ( your body can manufacture them by itself) and essential amino acids ( these must come from a dietary source). So eat some rice ( brown is better but not necessary) and beans and your all set.
