your blood pressure is within the normal range.
Normal is 120/80
Being young and not overweight, your blood pressure may be a little lower, but it is not so low as to worry about. Blood pressure can vary up to 30 points from one day to the next or from morning to night.
High blood pressure (hypertension) is dangerous, but low blood pressure (hypotension) can be too--it can cause neuropathy---loss of circulation in extremities.
Check your BP in the morning and night for a few days (while doing the same kinds of activities). As long as the mornings are similar BPs and the nights are similar BPs, then your BP is probably fine.
I am 30yrs old, 5'9"tall and weigh 160 lbs. and my BP is usually only 103/72. I am HYPOtensive. No problems for me, my doctor just told me to make sure any doctor I have or hospital visits I have to let them know. Because if they took my blood pressure and it was 135/85, they might not think it is a problem, but for me that would be 32/13 points difference!
Once you have established that your BP is fine, then dont obsess over it. Just check it every 6 months when you are at Wal-Mart or the drug store. Eat healthy (most of the time :) and dont be a couch potato, and you will be in good habits for your future.
High blood pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and kidney failure.

You did not say what kind of "bp thing" she has.
If it is one of the manual kind where you blow it up with a bulb then read the number off a guage as the pressure drops, the readings you gave are probably OK considering the accuracy of the units. If she does it using a stethoscope to hear the sound changes, her hearing may also be an issue. Before getting upset, go to a drug store where they have one of the automatic BP machines. Sit down and rest for two minutes then do it. Anything between 100-120/50-70 is OK.
I would be more concerned about your pulse rate. Assuming you were at rest for 2-3 minutes before taking your pulse, it should be around 60-70 if you are in good shape. You can check your plus rate without any kind of fancy equipment. Take your pulse for 15 seconds and multiply by four. If you are consistently coming up with pulse rates over 100, even when you have been sitting at rest for 5 minutes, you got a problem.
It could be something simple such as too much coffee, caffeine containing sodas, "energy drinks" or drugs you should not be taking. If you are not taking anything that could explain a fast pulse rate and you still have one, I would see a doctor as 110-120 is too fast for a young person at rest.

his bp and pulse are normal so don't worry. 120/80 is what is considered normal for adults and sixteen is pretty close to an adult. the normal bp for a child is between 70 and 120 and for an adult 60-100. hope this helps! if ever worried only a doctor can truly diagnose high bp or pulse.

The blood pressure sounds ok, but the pulse is high. I dont trust those machines, just find your pulse on the inside of your wrist, count for 30 sec. and double it. I bet it will be lower.

You must have panicked it must have been the first time. but your H/Rate is a bit too high, I NEVER ADVISE ANY PATIENT TO MONITOR HIS/HER BP at her own level.
Have your self checked out by your family doctor for subsequent readings, as he is the best judge, might be you didn't have nice rest.

Your pulse rate, if it is per minute, is certainly high, and requires "immediate" competent medical attention. PLEASE DO NOT NEGLECT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
