Some people invent some fairy tales, those fairy tales are even believed by a majority of this world's population. People base their whole lives around those fairy tales.

And in our era we have guys like Sam Harris telling us the fairy tales aren't true. And he even makes money with that! Common sense has become a paycheck. Somehow it scares the hell out of me to live on a planet where common sense can become a paycheck.

Or is it more like poetic justice? Religions made so much money over the centuries, that it's only fair that we take our cut too now?

what do you mean?

we need to deprogram the religious people.

first of all, your an atheist because you believe in atheism is right.

second, if you know that god is just a big fairytale wouldn't you want to tell all the stupid flock about the truth?

come on, we have a responsibility to deprogram the religious people.

Richard Dawkins said it best when he said," we can no longer tolerate Christianity any more.

Don't you understand, we are in a war for truth.

We must fight for the sanctity of atheism.

if you saw a person wanting to chop off their penis because of religion wouldn't you do everything you could do to stop him?

its the same with atheism, we must stop religion from corrupting young minds.

you are either for us or against us.

there is no in between!

Supply and demand.

Logic has been in short supply for centuries, now the demand has got to a critical state, and suppliers like Mr. Harris can get paid for delivering a logical service.

Those without common sense need someone with common sense to tell them what's what. Guess those with common sense and a shrewd business sense turn that into a career.

I think that Sam Harris is providing a valuable service to humanity, at some risk to his personal welfare, by doing what he does. He deserves every cent he earns this way.
