I was wondering the same thing. I thought this section would be the most peaceful, but it's the opposite. What surprised me is that people become angry when you ask why they believe certain things in their religion. Immediately they assume you are against them, and doubt you really want answers. I just don't get it.

In this section no. But I thank we are at peace in most places except for the few court cases remaining where Christians try pushing to hard.

Quite often you can see those calling themselves "christians" and/or "catholics" spilling over into the other categories (Marriage, Sex, Pregnancy) in their efforts to "save" others.
Since those people have not learned the true meaning of humility, tolerance, or freedom of speech - there will be others who come here to remind them of their actions. The "name pointing" is of no concern, since they only offend those who let their egos get in the way.

Doubtful.

The same situation exists between atheists and believers as it does between Democrats and Republicans ~ some of each group are totally incapable of thinking of life (or politics) in anything other than binary terms; either/or, black & white.

That, and some folks are obviously NOT content within their own theology or philosophy; they simply have to be poking sticks in other people's eyes.

Good point...
But Christians and non-Christians are individuals, and neither group acts in concert. There will always be Christians and non-Christians who are at peace, and there will always be Christians and non-Christians who do not.

Name pointing bugs me.

I'd like this section to be put where it belongs: mythology.

But Christians have historically valued enslaving, killing, and converting others through violent means. What's with the PR spin nowadays?

Did someone declare war on me and forget to tell me about it? I have no problem with either Christians or Non-Christians,
as long as they allow me my opinions and don't tell me I'm wrong or going to hell. I don't make those types of judgements
an neither should they.

Hey, I was willing to take a non-christian to the R&S prom, but I found out about it too late...

all religious books are 99% same !
they talk about peace and love but we human need only 1% difference to kill each other.
in other words christian says the (glass of water is half empty) and others say (the glass is half full). same thing!

No way. People get more emotional and angry about this topic than anything else. The fighting and name-calling are sad to see but they're inevitable.
