Apathy is worse. An ignorant person may be well-intentioned, and can be educated. Apathy is more like willful ignorance, as the apathetic person understands that their behavior should change, but they choose not to, despite understanding the consequences. You can change someone else's ignorance, but only the apathetic person can choose to renounce apathy.

Apathy.
Willful ignorance is just as bad as apathy, general ignorance can't be helped. Everyone's ignorant of something until they learn about it.

ignorance means you dont know any better (yet) and apathy is you know and dont care. so apathy is much worse because the ignorant might wake up and care.of course we are talking about things worth caring about i hope.

Apathy is worse.
Ignorance is simply "not knowing" something; whether factual or otherwise.
Apathy is simply not caring; whether one knows or does not know, or ever comes to understand.
