i believe that the benefit is that it uses more muscles and energy, which helps burn fat quicker than if walking on a treadmill without an incline.

works your butt muscles better, burns calories faster. I always work on the 10% incline while on the treadmill. I like it.

Well which is easier walking on a flat road or a road uphill? Yeah! That's the benefit! You work harder!
