That is a lot of garlic to eat everyday! Instead, try a garlic supplement such as Garlice(gar-leek). You can get it and other garlic supplements at you local pharmacy or health food store.

What ever you try don't cook the garlic. The properties you are looking for will be lost if the garlic is cooked.
Try sprinkling minced garlic on salad. Mince garlic and put it in sandwiches. Try and spread the bulb out over the course of the day so it's not overwhelming. In smaller amounts you should not have any heartburn or upsetting after effects.
One word of caution; Garlic taken the way you plan, thins the blood which is good... except if you need surgery. The clotting factors thin so if surgery is planned, stop using garlic a least a week prior to surgery

Here is a reference to a Website that can give you a recipe for Barbara's Holiday Garlic Ice Cream. Just substitute Splenda or the sugar and you'll have a really nice concoction. NOT.

OK seriously. Here is a valid and nice recipe:

Grate some organic carrots (1-2 punds) or shave them into long pieces, add 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1/2 cup shredded soy cheese, about 10-12 chopped garlic cloves and mix it together with Vegenaise (a vegetarian substitute for mayo. It comes in grape seed oil blend). All this makes a really nice salad that will keep for at least 3 days under refrigeration.

Cut the stem end off the whole head of garlic. Cut deep enough to expose the cloves. Drizzle olive oil over garlic, wrap in foil and bake about 375 for about 20 min. When it is done it will be soft enough to spred on bread and is delicious. You can also stuff a chicken with garlic cloves, then roast the chicken and eat the cloves. If you wanted to make a humus spread with garbanzos and mashed roasted garlic, that would be good too. Also, you can saute it in a little olive oil and let it cool then make a homemade salad dressing by adding more oil and vinegar. The roasted garlic is also good in baked potatoes, if you can have them.

There are garlic supplements...Garlique is one...I love garlic, and I eat it in most everything...but if you eat too much at once it can have some lethal consequences...you two will not be able to stand to be in the same room with each other...between the dragon breath, the garlic scent coming out of your pores and breaking some noxious garlic wind you will both be wishing you had spent the extra money on the supplement. Good Luck! Worst of all you will probably run most of your family and friends off...

Here is something I learned from my Italian friends: to neutralize the garlic odor, drink Tomato Juice immediately after taking the garlic.

I proved this theory by eating 5 raw, pealed garlic cloves with my Pasta, and then I drank a 12 ounce can of tomato juice. To my surprise, no one could tell I had garlic for lunch--no even my friends with the most sensitive of noses!!!

I continued this diet for a week, and still no garlic smell at all!!!

Good luck!!

Hi, you can make your own fresh salsa or guacamole, and add a bulb of garlic to each. You would use tomatoes, one yellow, one red and one green peppers, one jalapeno, one chili pepper, 1/3 of onion, and about 1/3 cup salt + the garlic.. yummy chill in the refrigerator, for about 2 hours and enjoy. To make the guacamole just mash up two ripe avocados and put some of the fresh salsa on top of them mix around in bowl. You will love it. You can eat it every day a little of one or the other, its very good and keeps cancers away as well. Hope this helps and you enjoy these recipes:)

Yes, garlic has several health benefits. It contains vitamins and minerals, lowers blood pressure and, as you correctly say, it's an antibiotic. I grow and eat a lot of garlic. I like it raw and as an ingredient in cooked savoury dishes like curries, stews, mousetraps, soups and Italian food. If, unlike me, you don't like the strong taste and smell, there's a French garlic soup. You'd never guess that garlic is the main ingredient. The long gentle cooking removes the aroma. Google French garlic soup for the recipe.

My dad has been eating a clove garlic everyday ever since I can remember and he has always done it the same way. He cuts the garlic clove into pieces (small enough to swallow) about 6 pieces. He places them on a spoon, drinks a little fresh orange juice, then puts the pieces of garlic in his mouth and drinks the rest of his OJ. Just try not to bite the garlic. This way is so much healthier than adding oil to it.
Good Luck~

Do it like the Chinese do -stir fry your veggies with garlic. It's delicious, nutritious, and you don't get such bad breath either. Here's what I do:
Use a WOK (if you don't have one, it's worth it to get one). Put a couple of tablespoons of oil in the WOK. (Olive oil is great for this.) Peel the skin off the garlic and chop the garlic into small pieces. Saute for about 30 seconds, then add your favorite - fresh, not canned or frozen- veggie. I personally like broccolli or cauliflower, but you can use any veggie. I usually just stir fry one veggie per day so as not to get tired of it. Stir the veggies for about 5 minutes or so, adding a bit of water now and then so as not to burn them. Also when you add a few tablespoons of water, it cooks faster and you don't need to use so much oil.
Be sure to put the lid on when you add water so you can use the steam it makes. Take the lid off now and then to stir the veggies. Add salt whlie cooking.
I started preparing veggies like this when I was at my daughter's house. She liked them so much that now she prepares them this way. Even her kids are eating veggies now!
Try it. I know you'll like it!
