Well, considering my 2 y/o is VERY picky & he WILL eat Lucky Charms, yes, he & my 4 1/2 y/o ocassionaly do eat it. My only prob is my son likes the marshmallows better than the cereal itself, so I don't buy it too often. Those 'junk' cereals actually have a lot more nutritional value than many ppl seem to think. What kind of 'crap' do you feed your kids? I'm interested in knowing.

I use to think it was "sugar crap" but then I actually took the time to look at the side of the box it's got more nutrition in it than cheerios and kix. I give my kids lucky charms all the time now. And they thank me.

It good for energy and I think it vitamin fortified. Mostly it Sugar I think, as many kids cereals. Mine son actually likes plain cheerios as we gave them as a snack when he was less than a year old. He still like a glass full, no milk, and munch watching TV.
But, he like the Lucky Charms for something sweet and he always brush his teeth after eating anything. That another story.

They eat it on occasion. My children are rail thin and brush after everything they eat, so, what is the harm? They know moderation and have a good diet all around. All kids want sugar now and then.

Lucky charms compared to that chocolate chip cereal, yes. They usually have a fruit or something in it to, trying to balance it out some. :-)

when it comes to sugared cereals we use them as snacks in place of potato chips and other things like that. While they are not the best for you, eaten in moderation they are not the worst either. I would would much rather see my kids reaching into a bag of cereal than a bag of potato chips any day.

Once in while we'll eat somewhere that has miniature boxes of the "garbage cereal" as I call it, and I'll let her have one.

But I don't buy it, and we don't keep it in the house. My kid actually likes Cheerios, Kashi shredded wheat, and loves Honey Bunches of Oats.

Yep, along with other healthier stuff, but my child is crazy underweight, I might reconsider if he had a weight problem, but right now I'll feed him anything he'll eat.

My son eats sugary cereals in place of chips/cookies, but I brush his teeth afterwards and NEVER EVER around bed/nap time.
