Are cloudy days better for tans?

I live in the Dallas area and it has been cloudy for about 2 weeks now but I'm still getting a good tan. I heard that the clouds magnify the sun rays...

The answer is Yes. surprisingly, certain types of thin cloud can magnify the ultraviolet radiation strength. So you can get burned even if its very cloudy out!

i know that you can get a sunburn faster on a cloudy day rather than a clear day

dunno bout a tan, but lots of people get burns on cloudy days. the UV rays still come through.
