find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Yes, I think that you will lose weight. But, in my opinion, I think that 1400 calories is too little. You could try something like 1700 calories. I am saying this because an average person needs 2100 calories a day and you are cutting back 1/3 of the amount. You can experience a lot of disorders in your body. For example, you get worked out so much faster than before.

1,400 calories is way too little. try somewhere between 1,600 to 1,800 instead. drink lots of water so ur body doesn't retain excess water. extra water is usually stored in fat (cellulite). walking and/or jogging would be benificial. in addition to walking, try sit-ups or push-ups, too. muscle may be more dense than fat, but it takes up less room. muscle also burns more calories for u, even when ur not exercising. good luck!!!!

if 1,400 is at least 500cal below your usual dialy intake, you will lose about 1-2 lbs a week.
