I am using 2 7476 j-k master/slave flip flops, an and gate, a not gate, a 7447 converter, and a 7 segment LED. I have it all wired up correctly to count from 0-9. I have it built on a breadboard, and I am using a logic trainer to provide my +5V, ground, 1Hz clock, and manual reset switch. I cannot get the counter to reverse.
I have already built a binary 0-15 up counter, and then I made a binary 15-0 down counter by using the clock nots on the flip flops. When I try this with the ddigital 9-0 down counter, it is now working correctly. My teacher says he will not help me, so I am at a loss of what I am doing wrong. I am trying to learn, but it seems I am up against a wall. If someone could please help me out by sending schematics to my email or giving detailed descriptions of what pins to switch and why I am doing it, I would greatly appreciate it.
