Tattoos should be something that is very important to the individual.
Your heritage, your career, your successes, or extreme hobbies.

Everyone is always saying that
a tattoo has to be very important
to you. It can also represent the
fact that you just enjoy life and the
art and process of tattooing.
Go to a good artist and talk it over.
They can give you a lot of good
ideas. Walk right past the flash and
tell them that you would like to talk
to the man with the brain. The guy
with the ideas. Someone who is
as interested in you getting a great
tattoo as you are. Ink On, Enjoy Life.

Do some soul searching and get a meaningful and important tattoo. Take your time deciding what it will be of and if you run low on ideas, a few google searches should provide you with pictures you can work with for inspiration.
I really don't know what you like and dislike to make too many suggestions, but you could go with your zodiac, birth flower, any flower you like, butterflies. Or even get more daring things such as skulls and zombies.

This should be solely up to you. Remember, you are the one that has to wear it.
Try to think of something meaningful to you. Just because you have one chinese symbol doesn't mean you can't have another. Is there any specific word that best describes you or moves you? What about a symbol of some sort.
You shouldn't get a tattoo JUST BECAUSE.

I have one tattoo, it's just a sexy design on my lower back.
If you already have your name and a chinese symbol.
I'd suggest your zodiac sign on your foot. Or you can get a fish or swan or peacock on your ankle, I think that would look really nice. Or else a sexy design on your back hip, that's what I would get. My suggestions, don't get flowers and hearts, and don't get an armband, those are all too common. Get something that will stand out, yet can be easily covered when you get older, b/c tattoos are permanant. right? :) Just think what you really want for you, forever.

if you like the chinese/japenses culture, then maybe you should stick along those lines your tat should be completely about you or your family even your culture...look in books you can find tons of stuff that'll reflect you and with that will inspire ideas of what you want and that way you can have a totally original idea and at the same time it's a piece of you remember every good tat has a good story..hope this helps you enjoy

Get your favorite lyric from a song tattooed somewhere special. My friend recently got "I keep a close watch on this heart of mine" (by Johny Cash) on her back with a heart lock, chain and key flowing between her shoulders.

You should really get something that yourself wants to get. Not somsething someone else thinks is cool. All my tats are tribal and I like them now as much as I did when the artist drew them up. Each of those has its own meaning to myself as to what I was going through in that particular time of my life.

I'd suggest trying to draw something yourself. Or have someone you love draw something. An original tattoo is interesting and meaningful, and a really good conversation starter
