For humanitarian purposes, the illegals are given consideration to take welfare benefits without being punished because they are victims of poverty wanting to have a good job in the US.

I know first hand what the effect the illegals are having on our resources. Medicaid and such programs have suffered greatly at the hand of illegals. Believe it or not they can get 100 per cent help ahead of U.S. citizens. My niece has been homeless, jobless and in dire need for help from the community, but they have denied her repeatedly. On one such occasion an illegal, directly in line behind her, had the world handed to them – this is WRONG! Another person I know works in the financial department of a city and sees first hand what a tremendous effect the illegals have on them – they’re going broke – and it’s happening all across our country.
On the other hand, I believe our economy would collapse if all illegals were to be removed quickly – which is why politicians have been slow to act. The illegals have been coming here for “years” and are so embedded into our labor force that we could never replace them quickly enough to keep the market going. Crops would go to waste; assembly lines would shut down, God forbid someone should lose their lawn service – and just think of all the Mexican restaurants that would close – oh my. I recently heard a news report that some crops have already gone bad in fields from the effect our Border and National Guards are having. So what do we do, really?
Well, I believe they should be slowly but steadily removed – and their employers – after a hefty fine – should be given help on how to identify non citizens. They should NOT have a free ticket as Bush has suggested. I am for reprimanding them – whatever that may be – sending them home and letting them re-enter legally – if they can. Wouldn’t we like to “know” who is entering our borders? Women come into our country already pregnant because they believe they have a foothold when their babies are born here – those children should NOT automatically become U.S. citizens. The law that allowed this was written under totally different circumstances and was never meant to give illegals a free ticket. This thing is so layered it will take years to work out all the wrinkles.
Other things we should re-consider are the Cubans – if their feet hit our shores – they’re in to stay – which is wrong. The days during which that law was implemented are over as well. Miami has a majority Cuban populous and Spanish is the primary language. We’re an English speaking country and English should be the primary language in all of our cities. Why? Because our children are paying the price of not having English speaking teachers and classrooms. Various communities are suffering under this problem and our children are not receiving a fair education.
I truly feel sorry for under privileged people, but their country and communities should be taking responsibility for improving their lifestyle – not us. Of course, Mexico is all for the illegals coming here – they pump millions into the Mexican economy annually. Just goes to show just how embedded they really are here.

The simple answer is the nobody in the Government has the guts to stand up and say "enough". Everyone is so afraid of offending this group or that group that nothing is discussed to fix the problem. I understand that it is bad in Mexico, but we should help Mexico become a self sufficient country instead of taking their problems into this country. There are only so many jobs here, and they should go to those who are here either by birth or legal immigration, it's not that hard to get here legally. I have no problem with someone wishing to better themselves, but invasion is not the right way to do it.

Someone in this country illegally deserves no money, no support and no health care. They deserve and should receive a one way ride back home where they came from and if they wish to come in this country legally then go through the process like everyone else has to. This country has enough financial problems without supporting illegal activities. If I do something illegal, I get punished so why shouldn't they?
