I am getting tried of hearing Iraq and war and oil and all those things. I do think that we are losing our soldiers out there! I am thankful that the baby is getting to know his father since his father return from iraq but I was hearing rumors that he is going back. I am a baby sitter of that little boy. So I am getting upset because I know iraq have nothing to do with the war and we suppose to deal with Afahaina (Where Bin Lanand should be live in).

So what is your all thought about this whole things? and why do you think this way?

I would image that the soldiers have a totally different view than this, they want to get the job done and are more upset at our political atmosphere that won't let them actually fight a real war any longer.

But it can and will take years for a new nation to get on its feet, the US took years and years to settle after we formed.

But every soldier we have today has either enlisted or re-enlisted during the time we were at war so each knew they would be called on to go and fight. so most see it as not only a honor but thier duty to do this.

War is never an easy thing but sometimes it is necessary.

The United States has many enemies and they are constantly trying to find & exploit our weaknesses which includes causing economic chaos as well as killing us if they can.

A large & powerful country like the United States has many interests it must protect. These things must be protected for national security reasons, economic reasons, etc. When I say "United States" that means "All Americans". The very things our government is protecting are things vital to all of us. The government is the people.

Thankfully we have an all volunteer military that has chosen to serve this great country and defend it and through that process provide us all with the freedom we enjoy every day.

Our military sacrafices a lot for us and we should thank them whenever we have the chance. I personally think they should get paid more and have better benefits, especially in a time of war. Congress should cut taxes, cut the outrageous spending at the federal level and get back to their Constitutional duties of which providing a military is at the top of the list. Fund the military well and cut all the social programs and other non-sense the federal government has no right being involved in. Let the states handle those items.

I wish you & your family the best during this time as well as the family you help.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that we will ever be safe here again in the United States unless we have troops placed and working in areas that could be hotbeds of terror activities against us and the world at large.
Regardless of how much you are sick of hearing about the war, the truth of the matter is, we are safe and able to go about what we are doing day to day because of their commitment to keep us, their families safe from harm. If they come home, these bad people will only see it as a sign to increase their violence. We don't want to wake up again like on 9/11 to find that we were attacked and were not doing anything to prevent it. Encourage your friends and thank the baby's dad for caring enough to do what he is doing!

I am sorry you are ready to give up so soon. This war will be going on long after the current troops are home. This enemy is like a cancer. It can reappear if you don't keep after it.

Let me help you understand why we ended up in Iraq.

We have been at war with radical Islam since Iran took our embassy people hostage during the Carter administration. We chose to ignore this disease known as international terrorism for decades. We finally realized that we are at war after the attack on 9/11. The only reason it ended up in Iraq right now is Saddam overplayed his hand. He would still be in power if he had cooperated with the UN inspectors. He liked making everyone believe he had horrible weapons. After 9/11 we could not take the chance that he did and might provide the technology to terrorists. Since we were still at war with Iraq since Dessert Storm, we took the opportunity to take out his perceived threat.

The terror supporting countries in the region realize the threat to them that a Free Iraq would pose, have been supporting the insurgency with money and sophisticated weapons. The disease of fundamentalist Islam tyranny cannot abide the cure that liberty brings to the long suffering people of the Middle East.

Pulling our troops out is exactly what the terrorists want us to do. Why would you support that?

There are two possibilities.
1. There will be another war, and another war after that until one side or the other is all gone.

2. I borrow the words of Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir when she said "The war will end when they love their children more than they hate us."

Not as long as Bush is in the White House.

I doubt you can vote because Engish might be a second language for you, but the only way you can send a message is by VOTING. It's a lousy system, but all we got.

How about when the _soldiers_ decide it is time to come home?

The troops feel they are winning and that we should stay there until the job is done.

Do you really want to let them down?

As long as Bush and his like have their way, the troops aren't coming home for another 10 or 20 years, if that.

As soon as they leave, Iraq will melt into civil war, and bush knows it.

The problem is, it doesn't matter if we leave now or in 50 years. Iraq is a lost country. We can't determine the fate of what happens.
