I wouldn't take the chance. I hate wasting food and/or money, but I'd rather throw out a few dollars' worth of food than risk getting my whole family sick.

This is a nice easy question.
first take out your chicken and look at it...does it look ok? not discoloured or anything.
Next the smell, does it smell ok? If it is going off you will know by the smell. If in doubt chuck it out!
You do not want to rish food poisoning and chicken is about the worst.
If your fridge temperature is pretty cool the chicken should still be fine but I wouldnt eat it after today. you are pretty well at the limit. also you are going to need to make sure it is really well cooked through to kill any bugs.
So do the ckecks and if it looks and smells ok then cook it now! Even if you dont want to eat it after its cooked, say a casserole or something you can aways freeze it.
Good luck!

Ok I am a cook for a living and your taught 3 days after removing it from the freeze toss it but the way I feel about it is smell it first because it could still be good but if it doesn't smell them you got to make sure you cook it all the way cause of the bacterias that grow on it but smell it if it has any hinting of a smell toss it you don't need to be getting sick

If it is still wrapped in the original packing or you have wrapped it really well you will be fine.Just make sure to cook it all the way through (no pink in the middle) and you should have no problem. I get apprehensive about chicken as well, but a simple sniff will tell you all you need to know. If chicken is bad, it tends to smell bad.

I would smell it first, if it smells kinda like rotten eggs throw it away and also if it is really slimy then I would throw it away.

You have to be careful with chicken, you can get really sick.

When in doubt throw it out!
