HEY =]]
Lol i just got mine done about 2 hours ago and seriously i have a bad pain threshold too and it hurts no more then getting a filling at the dentist.
My piercer told me to close my eyes and he counted to three and stuck the needle in i didnt even feel it
I have heard that your body has some sort of numbing thing that when you get a cut or severe injury your body tries to numb it..
well i dont know if thats true but i think it is coz my lip didnt hurt one bit! didnt even bleed

Good luck!! Go for it!!

All piercings hurt, thats just something that goes along with getting a mod. While pain should never be a deciding factor in whether or not you do something, you should know that the pain is very minimal and controled by the skill of the piercer doing the piercing. The piercing itself is usually done and over with in seconds and its really not that bad. Over the next few days your lip may be sore, but overall, its not an excruciating feeling.

Just be sure you go to a reputable piercer and that you take care of your piercing as instructed. If you ever have questions or concerns about something, you should always visit them first. Good luck

Yes, of course it hurts, but the real pain comes after, not during. The intense pain is only a second or two long, and then your lip numbs itself for awhile. Hours later/the day after is always the worst, because the soreness is horrible.
A tip: when you eat, be sure not to catch the jewelry wit your teeth! It is ssssoooo very painful!

I hope that helps! :]

yes. it hurts. when I got mine done my lip swelled up really big. Mine didn't get infected but that is a place that gets infected easily. It'll be sensitive for awhile maybe even a long time depending on how it heals. it's not like an ear where you don't have to touch it really because you have to eat. I like the look of them. I took mine out and it left a "pit" scar which is something to think about also.

The Monroe piercing is actually one of the more painful piercings, because your upper lip is extremely sensitive and it is also one of the most likely to get infected. Therefore, you may want to consider a different piercing site.

Does it hurt? Duh. It's a needle going through your skin. Just do it. I'm sure it's totally worth it. I think people that have it done look freakin' sweet. I would do it but, but my hubby has begged me to not put holes in my face. Just do it and don't worry about the pain. It's so fast anyway, it will only hurt for a second.

Never get a permanent mutilation for the sake of what might be a temporary fad.

I'm a really stupid person, but you can't tell that just by looking at me. 'nuff said.
