Lakeside trail is more dangerous to walk alone on. Mostly because, generally speaking, we let our guard down when we think we're alone. In a crowded city, the perception of danger is more apparent and we act acordingly.

Unfortunately for all of us, danger can be found almost anywhere that you go in these times.
People tend to be a bit more alert and guarded when they are in a crowded situation such as a crowded city.
When you are alone in a more natural setting, you believe that you are truly alone, and may not be so that could be considered to be more dangerous.
It is reassuring to know that most of us will lead lives that do not bring us into anything that would be considered truly dangerous. There are higher numbers of serious and life-threatening situations which happen in our own homes. (So now I don't know if I feel comfortable at home any longer....kidding)

That would all depend on the person & how many enemies they have! A crowded City can be just as dangerous as a deserted wilderness pathway!

I would think it is safer to walk in a crowded city since your cry for help may be quickly heard & answered..
