I am doing a project. My basic idea is to use the repulsive force of the magnets and make an elevator. I will have a permanent magnet at the bottom and top which can rotate. To the lifts bottom and top I will attach magnets. For the lift to move up the magnet at the bottom and the magnet at the bottom of the lift are made to repel and the the magnet at the top and the magnet at the top of the lift is made to attract. To make the lift come down the top magnet is rotated so that it repels and the bottom magnet is rotated so that it attracts. For moving down i will use a break system so that it can come down slowly. Can this work??
