My cat loves to hiss and aggravate the Rottweiler, but is affraid of plastic bags. She jumps at the dog, and runs a mile whenever she hears a plastic bag.

I remembered, this is so funny sometimes my neighbors cat got crazy when me and Jin (my cat) played with him and he starts to run like 200 km/s and jump up and down trees and he starts to make this wired noise like an angry little dog its so funny me and jin just watch until the episode is over then he comes back and rolls on his back and starts to act all cute and stuff ^-^ I just want to go back to Lebanon and squeeze him tight so cute :D

In is actually a myth that cats are afraid of dogs. A lot of cats will hiss and growl at a dog. I knew a cat that attacked dogs. As for plastic bags, complete mystery on that one, it could be the noise they don't like like. But I have a cat that runs away from a bag being shaken but if I put the plastic bag somewhere where she can get to it she will play with it.

Cats have such funny and quirky behaviours and that's why cat lovers love them so much.

Cats are weird. I had a cat that would dive head first into any plastic bag, scared the daylights out of me.

One of my cats will play with the mini shih-tzu, who has NO concept of gentle. Then the same cat RUNS away from the husky mix who's one of the most gentle dogs you could imagine....

I think he's fooled by the size!

For me though, its more the dog that is messed up. The little one. Has NO CLUE that hissing, spitting and smacking means "don't play with me", likewise the bigger one will sometimes bare his teeth to try to protect food... little dog is oblivious. (Luckily the bigger one ONLY bares teeth, or I might not have a little dog by now!)

My cat hisses & smacks at my male rat, but not at the females.

That's just one of your kitty's quirks.
