SHould be okay as long as you get it done quick. The aerlier it is dont the better. Some cats don't spray its a territorial thing

He could. If he has already begun to spray, chances are he will continue.
Neutering is not a guarantee of no spraying.
My neutered male cat sprayed inside pretty much his whole life (he lived until 15).

Not necessarily, but it does happen in many cases. Very rare, but my cat was neutered and one testicle evidently did not descend as I have his lovely daughter as "proof." She's been spayed, tearfully buried a son struck down by a drunk driver in Reno (Californian no doubt, speeder didn't stop, didn't care) and found homes for the other son and daughter by a feral neighbor; both kits "fixed" and I thought "Poppa" had been neutered...Hoo yeah, one night half the lights went out in my trailer because he sprayed an outlet and got zapped with the resulting arc. Kept on ticking for a total of 18 years though and took him a year before he sprayed another outlet with less pyrotechnical display resulting. Was my main man and he never called me out for any of my habits which might have been offensive to him, so we lived and loved as we did in mutual admiration and if anyone ever told you that grown men don't cry, se dice mentiras.

it depends on what he has seen in his life. we brought a kitten that was a year old to our house as a trial run. we kept him seperate from the other two due to his size. when we decided to keep him, we got him neutered and declawed. he never learned how to spray and does not spray. it's best to get them young and if they don't know what to do. our other male cat who is 10 years old, was spraying up until about a year ago when he moved. he is neutered and has been since my husband got him. it was a territory issue.

For a little. But once he gets- for lack of a better description, used- to being neutered, the spraying will probably stop. That is, if he hasn't been spraying for long. I had to deal with that with a kitty I took in who had been abandoned.

He will continue to spray. We have a male cat that was neutered later in his adult life..probably about 2 or so and he still sprays EVERYTHING! And the odor is horrible!

It takes about 2 weeks after being neutered for all that extra strong male hormone smell to go away, but it will go away. If he is an indoor cat get him neutered, you and he will be happier....
Good luck

there isn't a 100% guarentee he won't spray but get him neutered anyway. if he hasn't already stared spraying there is a good chance that he won't begin.
