Yes. If you don't pay it you can expect to be arrested for it sometime in the future.

Yes some state have agreements in forced to take your license away if the ticket is not paid or if the ticket requires that you lose your license. Even if your state does not do this they can pick you up on a bench warrant if you are pulled over again any where the state of LA has the agreement with. Also unpaid tickets can affect whether your insurable, so in the long run it's cheaper to pay the ticket.

If you don't mind the chance of having an outstanding warrant issued for you then you don't have to pay it. If you get pulled over in Alabama, when they run your driver's license, it will come back that there is an outstanding warrant against you and they can take you in. Is that a chance that you are willing to take? I would just pay it. I would not want that over my head. I would probably say that they didn't give you a ticket for no reason, so you must have been doing something to get a ticket. Be an adult. Take care of your business.

Only if one of two things happen. One is that you ever plan to go to Louisiana again (a warrant will be issued in that state and if you return and get stopped for anything, it will pop up as failure to appear and you will be immediately arrested) or if your state has a reciprocal agreement with Alabama. If they don't you have nothing to worry about. If they do, and you fail to pay, the violation will end up on your Alabama drivers license.

Yes, if not your license will be suspended or they will issue a bench warrant, or possibly both. So next time you get pulled over, you'll not only be in violation for what you got pulled over for but also for driving on a suspended license. When your license is suspended you cannot renew it, you can't register a car if you buy one and you can't transfer plates to another vehicle legally. No matter what state you got ticketed in, when you fail to pay for a ticket, your suspension is issued and anyone who runs your drivers license number will know it.

From personal experience, take care of this as soon as possible. If you're waiting for it to go away on it's own or for the police to "forget" about you, you will be waiting a long time. And the longer you wait and the more violations you rack up, the more money you will be paying to get out of trouble! Trust me it's not cheap to get your license reinstated and to pay all those fines. In 2000/2001 I paid $125 to reinstate (not including fines), but I've had friends who have paid upwards to $500 (not including fines). Pay the $75.00 (or so) ticket, before it gets out of hand.

Good Luck!

Most definitely. Due to the Nonresident Violators Compact, your driver's license can, and will be, suspended, usually either an FTA(failure to appear) or bail-bond suspension. This would require you to pay an additional fee to your State for reinstatement, plus the cost of the original citation. In most states, driving with a suspended license is an arrestable offense, not to mention your vehicle getting impounded. Oh, and don't forget the bench warrant...some states will extridite for them.

Yes, if you ever plan on going to Louisiana again and get pulled over you will have a warrant and they can take you to jail. Just pay it to avoid all of this.

Umm, yes.

It is different when you get an out of state ticket and don't pay it. If it were in your own state they would arrest you. Since it is from another state they can have your registration revoked.

Don't be an idiot and pay the ticket.
