I love the anti's they're so full of love.
I do hunt I don't fox hunt.
Foxes have been trapped for fur. Poisoned and shot for stealing chickens. I don't think hunting is any crueler than anything else foxes have had to endure. Cars kill more foxes than hunters or any body else.Life and death are part of this world that's just the way it is.People get hung up on whats cute and feels good, they forget the honor in the struggle called life.

The dogs are built for stamina. Foxes that have been rescued from the dogs have often been found by vets to have their internal organs failing due to exhaustion. This is clearly about prolonged suffering for the sake of the riders. The hunts close up all of the possible fox and badger earths just prior to the hunt so there is no natural escape for the fox. If a fox does find refuge underground, the hunts use small terriers to bite at it and men with shovels to dig it out. It is a terrifying experience for the dogs and the fox (both often get badly bitten). If the dogs catch the fox above ground, it is torn apart alive. Some of the methods used on small fox cubs to train the young hounds are unspeakable. This is worst part and most hunters don't see it!

I would love to know how many of the anti hunters have ever even been around the sport. There is nothing wrong with hunting foxes, coyotes, or any type of predator. That's right, they are called "predators". They kill and eat other animals, wild and tame. We have lost cats to foxes and coyotes before, so if you are anti hunting you should do something to keep the animals from hunting and killing other animals. Just because you can't eat a fox doesn't mean it's not an ethical sport. It also helps that the hides are worth money. We get paid for the fur so some anti hunter can wear it as a coat. Hunters are the best stewards of the land out there. We do more to conserve the land and the environment than anyone. Uneducated people should keep there mouth shut......this is not 19th century England, we don't use hounds to hunt them...

As long as there are plenty of foxes, and there are generally, no problems at all with fox hunting.

I believe humans have a sacred obligation to be good stewards of earth, water and animals.

But I also think that modern society....and that includes a whole lot of people here....is "Mentally Disturbed" regarding their "feelings" for wild animals.

Animals have no rights. Period. There is no discussion here. "Rights" are strictly for human beings by their very concept. Anything else is a bastardization of Nature.

I run into a lot of misguided fools who actually spend time and effort "fighting" for animal rights. I usually ask why they wouldn't spend that time and effort on a real cause, a noble cause and that is helping to end or comfort HUMAN suffering. Opportunities abound right in your hometown. But these fools would rather joust with windmills over some fantasy about a peaceful Earth and happy little animals than actually lift a finger to help the poor and the suffering and the sick and the lonely in their own neighborhoods. SICK!

wow some of guys are real arses (particularly dude who called foxes ginger bastards). hunting other than for meat (and that needs to be in a sustainable way) is wrong. all animals have feelings, emotions and personalities just like us. if we suggested hunting other humans for sport then that would be considered outrageous, so why is it any different with foxes?

i'd also like to say that foxes are not over-populated and do not need to be controlled in numbers. but the species that is over-populated is the human

I am an avid deer and turkey hunter, and the only time I had to kill a fox was to protect the chickens at my mothers house. As for sport It is what I would call unethical hunting unless you are willing to dress it and eat it, As far as skinning for a fur, let me know if there is a market for them cause no one I know has whole wardrobes made out of fox fur. The fox hunters I know kill them because they can and they are not overpopulated where I live so help me understand that someone?. The same goes with Jackrabbits, senseless killing and not using any part of the animal or killing when population control is not a big issue makes all hunters look bad.

I think foxes are important, but they do need hunted. Try havin your own chickens and when the foxes get them you are just goin to say, Well foxes are foxes! DONT THINK SO. Im gonna grab the shotgun and blow a big enough hole in them for the chickens to crawl out of.

Completely right. I am an avid hunter & fisherman. We need to regulate the population. Conservation is the way to go. However, over hunting is not nessiary. For all you PETA and animal right freaks, make sure you stay in the city because you wouldn't want to run into me in the woods with my shotgun.

I used to be a fox hunter but the decline in fur prices and the population of coyotes caused me to give it up as impractible
