There isn't really a specific time- except that Good Friday services ( it's the only day of the year when Mass cannot be said- not even a funeral) are usually around noon-12:30. They are longer than a regular Mass- about 1.5-2 hours...And traditionally followed by the Stations of the Cross.
That puts things pretty close to 3pm- the traditional time of Christ's death.
The tabernacle remains empty from the end of Mass on Holy Thursday until the Easter vigil. A separate altar ( the altar of repose) is maintained for the Eucharist kept in reserve. Some churches allow adoration at this altar overnight.

In the Roman Catholic Church there is no Mass on Good Friday. On this day the Church mourns Jesus' death and reverences the cross on which He died. Many Churches have three hours of prayers and preaching between 12 and 3. Every Church has a Celebration of the Lord's Passion at 3:00 in the afternoon. During the celebration the passion is read, those present can come forward to reverence the cross on which Christ died for our salvation, and receive the Eucharist.

3 pm is when Jesus Christ died on the cross. Around this time everybody will reflect on the death and respect its observance by refraining from playing music other than hymns of the church, fasting, etc. What you can't do on a Good Friday when Christ is already dead (3 pm onwards) is to do the stations of the cross. In my country the entire city will be very quiet, only a few cars/motorcycles are seen on the streets, no loud music from the radio until the resurrection or Easter Sunday.

As early as the 4th c., Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land would walk the route that Our Lord walked as He made His way to Golgotha for our salvation. When Muslims captured Jerusalem and it became too dangerous to make this pilgrimage, Christians replicated the sites back home in Europe, and there developed the "Stations of the Cross" devotion (also known as "Way of the Cross," "Via Dolorosa," or "Via Crucis").
The devotion consists of meditating on 14 events -- that number being fixed in 1731 by Pope Clement XII -- which took place during Christ's Passion, from His being condemned to His burial. Franciscans popularized the devotion, which was originally made outside, often along roads to shrines or churches. The Way of the Cross can still be made outside, of course -- a perfect idea for a Mary Garden -- but is usually made inside nowadays, especially during the Season of Lent and most especially on Good Friday.
The 14 stations are :
Jesus is Condemned to Die
Jesus is Made to Bear His Cross
Jesus Falls the First Time
Jesus Meets His Mother
Simon Helps Jesus Carry His Cross
Veronica Wipes Jesus' Face
Jesus Falls the Second Time
Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem
Jesus Falls the Third Time
Jesus is Stripped
Jesus is Nailed to the Cross
Jesus Dies on the Cross
Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross
Jesus is Laid in the Tomb

How can you be sure that the supposed crucifixtion and death
happened on a Friday according to christian doctrine? The
whole christian kingdom insists that christ [peace be on him}
arose on the third Day and jesus Informs you in the Bible that
even as Prophet Jonaha was in the belly of the whale for
three days and three nights so the son of man would be in the
belly of the earth for three Days and three nights[gospel of
mathew, chapter 12 verse 38to 40]So now do your calculations!
Friday late in the evening Jesus is laid in his tomb,=1 Night.
Saturday Jesus[pbuh] is still in his Tomb=1 Day .
Saturday night Jesus is still in the Tomb = 1 Night
Sunday morning the Tomb Is empty...?
This amounts to only 1DAY amd 2 NIGHTS..?But the christ
himself said Three Days and THree Nights so either Jesus
has not fulfilled the Prophesy or someone is lying about this.
Think about it.!

It depends on the parish these days I do believe. I know that our parish is having a prayer service at 3:00pm followed by the reading of Passion. After that, there is a procession to the chapel for eaucaristic adoration where the body of Christ will remain locked up in silence(symbolizing the tomb) until Easter morning.
