Since lots of people choose to ignore the science let's just wait and see. The best shot at estimating the effects of our atmospheric experiment is in the IPCC reports.

First look at whether this is a man-made event or a natural cycle. I disbelieve many scientists as they are eager to have their name in print and as a scientist, I don't see these remarkable changes that they are predicting. Winters have been more severe in many regions and tropical storms are stronger and more frequent but they contradict each other. In Australia, there were many reports in the 1950s and 1960s about skin cancer caused by the reduced ozone layer and yet the incidence of skin caner is not greater than in California or Florida. Even if the melting of the Ice Cap should occur, evaporation of the water would create more arable areas in the Sahara, the Gobi, and other deserts as the moisture burden would force more frequent rains. I w2as on Mt. Everest three months ago, and the glaciers and snow cap appear consistent to three years ago. Is this another story from the politicians to create polemics. Al Gore suddenly locked on to Global Warming as a political ploy...if it were a fact, why did he wait so long?

if the water rises considerably and covers vast areas of land, then all the radio active waste the GVMT has put ino the earth will rise up. As will all the other polutents that we have not been told the 'authorities' have hidden.

This is an extremely tricky question. In the history of the world there have been periods of dramatic heating and cooling. Many scientists, myself included feel that right now we are in one of those cycles. Regardless of what Al Gore says in an Inconvenient Truth, the data can be manipulated in many ways, to either scare you or to let you know that it is normal. Don't forget we did go through an ice age and there were no factories "messing up" the enviroment bak then. My suggestion is for YOU to do your research and formulate your own opinion.

My opinion is that in 20 years the earth's enviroment may be a little hotter (since these cycles take a long time to get through)

Nobody really knows the answer to this and even if we can't stop it by recycling etc, it's surely a nicer country/world to live in with less pollutants and no rubbish washed up on the beach.

We wont be in the wrost situation, but things will be worse than they currently are. Besides, and effort that is made now, will not change things by a significant percentage. Its nice tot hink we still have a chance to change things, but we dont. Mybe it wasn't even our fult in the first place, maybe it was an inevitable consequence of the creation of the earth. Who will ever know. But if recycling, reducing and reusing mkes you feel better, then by all means, continue!

well, in 20 years the sea level will raise and so the temperatures, but there will be no serious consequences.
However, if WE carry on polluting the environment, in a longer period of time there will be nothing for us to live on.

Well, based on past levels of sea level and temperature rise we can expect the following…

Sea levels: about 3.5cm rise.

Temperatures: a rise of somewhere between 0.06°C and 0.12°C (depending on who you listen to.)

Not exactly “end of the world” stuff, is it? A bit boring, really.

I’m sure some of the other answers you’ll get will be much more exciting, if somewhat lacking in reality; take Ana above. Crumbs, she must be on something! LOL Oh! Ana deleted her answer. Must have hit a nerve. Sorry.
