I am looking to buy a car when I get my permit, and my question is which car to get. It has to be in a reasonable price range, don't suggest I get a Ferrari or something, thats just not realistic. But it has to have a pretty decent safety rating. I live in NY and NJ, so automatic would probably be best. I need to be able to fit some stuff inside, and somewhere, possibly on top, a surfboard. I go to boarding school, so I would probably use it to move stuff from my room and such. Do you have any realistic suggestions?

Yeah, I need good gas mileage, and I am leaning towards an SUV, something maybe like a Nissan XTerra. I don't care about nationality, color, that shi*t. But it can't look extremely ugly either.

You know what you need, now look at what you like. You will also want something that gets good gas mileage too. Maybe a focus or a 500 or a Fusion. Good luck
